Ordering Information

We have several varieties of turkeys to offer.  Those include Broad Breasted White, Broad Breasted Bronze, and Black Spanish.  In the future, we will also have Red Bourbons as well.  If you are interested in purchasing a turkey for Thanksgiving, we recommend the White or Bronze Breasted variety.  All of our turkeys are processed on site, and hand dressed to make sure you get the highest quality bird for your needs.   You can also choose your own and take it home with you to process yourself.  You will be asked to bring your own carrier container to bring the live birds home with you, as we do not offer that to our customers.

Turkey Poults

Turkey poults are more difficult to hatch than chickens.  That is why we have selected breeds that lay more eggs to give us a higher chance for success.  If you are interested in raising your own turkeys, you can place an order with us and we will contact you when they have hatched.  Our turkeys only lay while it is warm, so there is a limited window for breeding.  Call us today to see what breeds we have available to incubate.

Available Breeds

Broad Breasted White

These are one of the breeds most commonly raised for their meat.  They also have a cleaner appearance when dressed due to their all white feathering.  Broad-breasted toms grow to about 30 lbs. and hens 15 lbs.  They are generally ready for harvesting after about 18 weeks.

Broad Breasted Bronze

This breed is known to be fast-growing and one of the largest in size.  Their feathers have a metallic sheen that changes from copper, to bronze, to burnished gold as the light shines on them.  Toms can weigh in around 35-38 lbs once they reach maturity.  Hens are 18-22 lbs at full size.

Black Spanish

Also known as Norfolk Black, these are a heritage turkey admitted into the American Standard of Perfection in 1874. This breed can be traced back to when explorers in the 1500’s carried this Mexican turkey to Europe and then later carried it back to the Americas.  This variety is one of the tastiest breeds, with juicy, self-basting meat and great flavor.  Once they reach maturity, they can weigh between 18-33 pounds.

Standard Bronze

Our most diverse breed in stock due to the fact that it is not only a delicious flavor for meat, but they are also a heritage breed, so they reproduce naturally.  Hens lay within their first two years, and will continue for up to another 5 years.  Each hen can lay between 20-50 eggs per year.  The plumage consists of dark-brown feathers with glossy metallic sheen, giving a bronze appearance, tipped with a black band.  Young males will reach a weight of 25 lbs, mature toms can reach between 35-38 lbs.  Young female get to about 16 lbs, and mature females reach 18-22 lbs.
